[GTP] Incompetent Leadership

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good retirement benefits, but below average pay and bonus.

Cons

GTP site leadership have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Micromanagement is the normal - not only will you get ORPET actions for every task with an expectation to enter time weekly, but you'll have to create action and dates multiple times because management will keep changing their mind on how they want things done. Then you'll create sub-actions for your actions. There's absolutely no downward communications from management. They like to have off site "town halls" once a quarter, but they're miserable and none of the questions ever get a real answer. If you do ever bring up any issues or problems, the response is pure gaslighting. Your told to just ignore the site and global policies and just "get it done" by the ORPET due date. Due date and monthly % complete compliance is way more important than the quality of the actual work being done. There's no verification that tasks are done well or actually completed at all. There is zero onboarding at all (Despite site leadership blatantly lying about this during a manufacturing town hall). The culture of the site is pure "shut up and just do what you're told". There's zero trust at any level, with plenty of gossip and backstabbing. Optics matter so much more than actual work output. There's a shocking lack of diversity for the site - mostly because managers just brought their buddies with them from prior companies.

Pros

Good benefits and pay, generally stable business

Cons

DEI is divisive. Opportunities for non-diverse candidates are limited. Selection decisions are filtered through the lens of diversity. The most qualified and experienced candidates are not always given the opportunities.
