      Pros

      It is easier to be a big fish in a smaller pond. CPChem is a good size, stable company with great benefits and is working to improve what it offers to its employees.

      Cons

      Smaller orgs don't specialize as much as, say, an Chevron or ExxonMobil. Therefore the workload can be more varied and more demanding.

      Work Schedule, Location, retirement benefits

      Cons

      - Management ( very much a club ) - No room for advancement. Expect to stay in current role for at least a decade if not Chem E - Rating system is antiquated. If you have a company full of stand up talent then it should be rewarded and recognized as a whole not only in bonus but in raises and rankings.

      Ability to have a successful career, not just a job. Good benefits including pension and 401k plan. Developing good career paths for a variety of disciplines.

      Cons

      Limited geographical locations in the U.S. Limited opportunities internationally. Difficult to move between manufacturing and commercial roles for diversification.
