Pros

This company will waste your time during the interview process.

Cons

I made the mistake of attending an interview at CP-Chem. Their HR department did not call me and tell me details about the role (1st red flag). CP-Chem was looking for data analyst role but they advertised the role as a strategy creation role. I arrived at the interview and they had multiple people in the interview. The department manager was in the interview and the person made zero eye contact with me during the entire interview. The person let one of his/her direct reports ask the questions. I could tell they were trying to groom the direct report for a supervisory role. I don't recommend interviewing or working for CP-Chem. I could tell from the overall office vibe that this place would be a toxic work environment and not a good organization to grow your career at. Its the kind of company where the people that work there are looking out for their own personal gain. Finally, this company has a flat organizational structure. They do not have many layers of management. If you are early in your career, you will have no roles to grow into at CP-Chem only lateral moves.

Pros

Good benefits...medical 401k match, pension

Cons

Bullying, yelling, withholding information pertinent to job function, etc., etc., goes unchecked. At least 3 people in my division were called in before HR on 3+ occasions each for harassment /bullying. Those who filed complaints were the first to be terminated when layoffs hit. The perpetrators are still employed.

Pros

Great Benefits & Pay - 401k - pension - bonus - education reimbursement - 9/80 schedule Company is in growth mode - new plants built and being built in near future.

Cons

Inclusive Culture has eroded over past three years. Politics are rampant throughout company. - Positions not given based on merit. - Growth/advancement is based on how well your boss likes you, not necessarily merit. - Non chemical or mechanical engineers have difficulty advancing. Assets have doubled since company inception while headcount has declined. Difficult to be proactive with current staffing levels throughout organization.
