Pros

Chevron will provide lots of career development and allow you to go as far up the chain as you can. They have flex work schedules . Work 40 hours in 9 days.

Cons

Lots of processes to follow . Competition with other employees is fierce. You have to do everything perfect, on time, on budget and always. Pay raises are based on comparative ranking with other employees. Even if you perform 100%, if another employee delivers 110%, then you will not get the raise. The 110% performance then becomes the new benchmark to beat. Every action is worthy of analyzing to improve.

Pros

Easy enough job where you can learn a lot about running a business and time management. Plus most the time they are willing to be flexible with there schedule should something come up.

Cons

Slow days where there aren't a lot of people really coming in. Another major problem is drunks coming for beer.

Pros

Competitive salary and incentives. Nice office accomodations. Generally freindly co-workers. Was a place for a technical individual, not just a sales organization that saw technical employees as a necessary support staff that had to be endured. May be a few politics at the top. Didn't realize some of the job amenities of working at Chevron Energy Solutions until I left.

Cons

When taken over by Chevron, bureaucracy increased. Can be extensive travel at times. With increased energy conservation business slow down, potential of being downsized and closing offices. Seems that ultimate goal may be to consolidate in California.
