Pros

Pay, benefits, big name, good for people that want stability and a solid paycheck

Cons

Finance function is corporate acctg. so be aware that is what you will be doing. Rigid timelines to switching jobs - 18 months, but definitely a superior oil company.

Pros

Good pay for contractors, seem to care about the wellbeing of their employees, good opportunity for advancement. Keep up with technology in office equipment provided to employees.

Cons

Contractors are often treated as second class citizens in many ways, but expected to perform the same or better than employees.

Pros

High moral of employees. The people of Chevron really attempt to do the moral or right thing.

Cons

If you are in business development or marketing, this is not the place for you. The company is very process oriented and there is no value seen in marketing.
