Pros

The building is nice but even parking is awful.

Cons

Nepotism, bureaucracy, bs, you name it. They abuse so much employees that they proudly sent a booklet company wide explaining to the employees that it is a privilege to work for that company, therefore putting up with long hours and up to 24/7 is acceptable and you should not complain.

Pros

I'm here to tell you the honest truth about working at Chewy. I started working there at the end of November 2015 and sadly had to leave in September of 2016 (I moved out of the country). During my time working for Chewy, I started off as a regular CSR, and then moved up to be on the Writing Team (a team that takes chats and emails, and sometimes calls if there is overflow). I have to tell you that the negative reviews you read on here are simply not true. From what I've seen and experienced at Chewy, it is nothing like what these negative reviewers are claiming. To me Chewy was a family, where you can be yourself, and you have a support system there with your supervisors. When I started I was working days and then got the opportunity to work the 3rd shift, which is much smaller, but when I tell you that when you can come into work, work all night until morning and leave with a smile on your face that says something. At Chewy you are challenged in the best ways possible to better yourself and push yourself to achieve what you want, the supervisors give you the tools, but its up to you to use them. No matter what you do in life, the saying "what you put in, you will get out" is valid and it has never been more true than in Chewy. If you work hard and show ambition then I can bet you (not money because I'm a poor student again) that you will be noticed, and your hard work will not be in vain. Just look at me I was working there and under a year I got promoted to the Writing Team. Hard work pays off, plain and simple. At Chewy you will always have a helping hand, and you should never be afraid to ask for help. Now going back to the work environment, yes it is fast pace and that may not be for everyone, but that does not mean it's not fun. Also as I stated earlier in my review, Chewy is a family. When I walked in there for the first time I knew no one, but leaving Chewy, as sad as it was (yes, I cried like a baby) I had made a family, with whom I still keep a close contact with (even though I'm on another continent). The memories and good times I had there I would not trade for anything in the world. Look at the end of the day working at Chewy is broken down into 3 simple things. Work hard, and not just because you feel you have to, do it for you, to grow and develop. Be friendly and let your wonderful self shine. Have fun, because at the end of the day good or bad you will have a support system there, who will be there for you to catch you if you fall. I hope this helps anyone who is interested in the truth about how it really is to work for Chewy. Chewy is a great company and I highly recommend it.

Cons

The only downside I can think of is having to go home at the end of the day, because you will want to stay.

Pros

From the outside the company looks like it has so much going for it. Fast growing, young, great customer service, and is located in South Florida.

Cons

Sadly, it is all a disguise and I am doing you a favor by cutting through the BS. The company is run by a group of people who see employees as replaceable resources that they are just trying to squeeze whatever they can out of before they quit. Long hours, a crummy HR, low pay, and an executive team just trying to make as much money from the pending sale of the company without a care for the employee. Add to that that I was urged to write a positive review about the company on glass door at one point is just the beginning of the company’s unethical ways. I would also stay away from Supply Chain. Supply Chain is a revolving door for new hires. Their management has been the same 3 people for as long as I can remember and any other management they try to bring in leaves after a couple months. In the year that I worked there the whole department turned over more than once. The only people who stay are ones brought up from customer service who are nothing more than executors with no supply chain background. To add to that, I have never met a group of people who disliked their management more. The management style that comes from the top of the department is dependent on fear, micro-management and time-watching. I would strongly recommend you stay away from this company.
