Pros

generous PTOs, covered health insurance

Cons

this place likes to show itself as having good culture but in reality the culture is toxic and more political than collaborative. Teams blame each other all the time, finger pointing , pushing work around, extremely toxic. The turnover is also pretty high, almost becoming a revolving door. New employees are joining as quickly as existing employees are leaving . Good work is not recognized and people who play the politics are more favored and promoted faster than those who actually do the work. Most senior engineers here do little work and just maintain existing code while pushing around . compensation is stagnant for several years. Everyone is expected to work more and take on more responsibilities for lesser and lesser bonus. Promotion does not guarantee any increase in compensation and you are only rewarded with more work and politics fighting. Not much growth opportunity. Previous CEOs has little clue how to grow the business and attract talented people. CTO and CEOs have been changing multiple times in the past 5 years Management only care about their self-interest and has no actual interest in motivating employees . Most of them do very little while getting fat paychecks and any complaints against them will get you fired immediately Tech has been neglected for a long while and now suffering from severe tech debt and problems. Systems crash every other day , people are constantly firefighting. Place is many years behind other firms and will only continue to be behind given the low quality of employees here.

Pros

more of a place for retirement and people to rest rather than for smart and ambitious

Cons

firm was slow to capture market opportunities. Consistently fail to meet target , impacting everyone’s bonuses. Management has little clue how to grow the business. Generally uncompetitive and behind competitors. Most has no talent, and firm is unable to move forward quickly without motivated talents. Many are constantly engaged in firefighting. There were 2 layoffs and many have left since. Morale is generally low because of shrinking bonus and layoffs. held back by lots of legacy systems that are slow and don’t make sense. Barely figured out 0dtx and HFT, many more years to go but given the slow pace it will only continue to lag behind further. Firm aspires to be world-class but never will be. Other firms have much higher revenue /profits per employee. Has a strange culture that doesn’t reward the people contribute the most
