Great Work/Life Balance. Management is approachable. There is room to grow if you work hard. Employees receive Holiday pay since the organization closes Christmas through New Year. They have an Employee Wellness Program that promotes healthy habits, and challenges employees. Employee recognition program, with monetary prizes.

Cons

Too much work at times. Because they are a non-profit, they cannot give bonuses, however compensate employees in other ways to make up for it.

Pros

Serving children and families is the biggest plus. Some positions seem to have autonomy. Some of the people that are committed to the cause are pretty great. Wants to do great things.

Cons

You can say you pay well all you want - it doesn't make it so. Bureaucracy. Wants to do great things but poor execution. Some leaders visionary, others not so much. Naysayers, slackers, and "status quo" people really prevent forward movement by those wanting to make things better. Too much old school micromanaging in many areas - maybe the nature of the job. Too many employees that do the bare minimum stick around. Poor performing people bring down morale and never get let go. Overworked. Underpaid. Never enough time to get everything done.
