I have been through several round of lay offs that had been reassured many times wouldn't happened, and then it did. I have no idea what is going on with the company as of now, and if we are actually making any actual impact as much as we claimed to be.

Decision making is broken. Execs want to see and approve everything, hold large committee meetings, and often question a project when almost at the finish line. That, combined with recent layoffs and a stagnant product, has lead to an all time low in employee morale. The company means well, but when everything is urgent and scrutinized to death, people feel like there contributions don’t matter. Team mates are afraid to take risks, and are not motivated to go above and beyond. Basically, 90% of the company is coasting, doing the bare minimum.
