Quota attainment was to high and never checked. Upper management only gaslighted us till the end of all our demise. We warned our management what we were going through. No one listened at all. They only thought that old data from 2020 accurate to the market conditions we were calling on that wasn’t the case. It was really stressful not every having senior leadership listen to what we have to say and also create a toxic environment . I asked about what the data was behind my KPIs and how they got to me needing to attain them. I never got shown the data or the reason why the quota and KPIs were set up to make me fail. After knowing the things I was doing had set me up to fail. I thought this would be something management would look into. After only hitting quota only 3 times I knew that we had a problem because the leads and workflow was set up to make a SDR fail.

The CEO is not as friendly or as present as I would expect a startup CEO to be. Even at companies five times the size of ChowNow we'd get nice check-ins and inspirational, long-term vision type speeches that let us know how the business was doing, how the CEO was doing personally, and how we could best help him out or forward the goals of the company. ChowNow does not offer any of this kind of exciting, future-thinking leadership from the CEO. Mostly we hear from him when things are going poorly, which does not inspire trust or confidence.
