      Too many non-nursing duties placed on the nurses

      Pros

      Good benefits, great opportunities for career advancement, lots of opportunity to make extra money

      Cons

      No work/life balance, jobs within the system are very competitive, rotating schedules, nurses are responsible EVERYTHING not just caring for their patients, which affects their time with the patients

      Pros

      Management seems to take an interest in employee input. Patient care is generally put first. Pay and benefits are reasonable.

      Cons

      Benefits and pay max quickly depending on job title. I have not had good experience or responsiveness to requests for help with career development which they advertise as offered. Some departments have very poor managers and non-patient care positions with top pay and benefits seem abundent.

      The hospital and its employees really about their patients and their community We are a technologically advanced hospital system and provide excellent care to our patients We strive to be and ARE a Great Place to Work

      Cons

      Development in non-medical positions is slow and managers need to learn how to develop their people. People are too used to the status quo. They tend to do things because "they always have" and not because it's the best way to do them
