Pros

Encourages climbing the ladder certificates with reimbursement, tuition reimbursement. OT incentives. Decent pay in comparison

Cons

Rarely follow safe stafing rubies. If the rubic calls for 10 RNs and 4 PCTs there will 9 rn and 1 pct. Even if your unit has the staffing they will be floated else where. Everytime. Then worry about your water bottle and clocking out on time or clocking out with a meal break when there was absolutely no way to take a break and keep your license. Not enough call outs with out fear of penalty or sufficient times for pto.

Pros

Great team, different levels of acuity, lots of support

Cons

Scheduling isn’t flexible, seniority controls almost everything on the unit, and favoritism
