Lovely coworkers but a few things could be better

Pros

I enjoyed most of my time at Chronicle due to my coworkers but the company itself needs work. Profit sharing is a great idea but... higher pay would be better especially since the owner of Chronicle is a millionaire.

Cons

Promotion track is non existent and not clear at all. Yes they do promote within but... it happens randomly and is not based on merit or performance reviews which are also a joke. Their DEI initiatives all lip service and put the burden on the POC on staff. Did not enjoy my hiring process there and did not enjoy interacting with HR. The head of HR is incredibly condescending and I wasn't the only one that felt that way.

Management is completely horrible and does not understand marketing or leadership in any way. HR is a huge problem as well.
