Pros

The people are smart, creative, passionate about publishing, funny, and make Chronicle an amazing place to work. The work environment is flexible and supportive. People are really nice, and the books are beautiful. The company is really open about sharing information about the business in town hall meetings, etc.

Cons

There's always a struggle to balance the creative and the sales sides of things, and sometimes we tip too far in either way which creates some tension. The tech and systems we use could be modernized more. And pay is always an issue since we're in publishing and located in the Bay Area.
