Pros

The coworkers are definitely a pro! I would have left a long time ago if not for the constant support of the peers. Its bad, but everyone is in the same boat so they help you wipe your tears. You get a relatively good amount of PTO, when youre able to take it. When you do, you walk in to double the workload when you get back because no one has time to back you up. Tons of overtime! Sometimes you even get lunch bought for you after a mind numbing week of work.

Cons

If you like to be micromanaged and have a constant flow of passive aggressive emails, this job is for you. No matter how hard you work, there never seems to be advancement, just lateral moves to do different things. They are constantly "migrating" from one system to another which causes headaches for employees and insureds. Be prepared to get yelled out from customers because of this. There's a lack of training and no manager support when the whole department is screaming for assistance, but you sure will be "educated" if you do anything wrong because of it. Quality is a joke. Your phone calls have to basically hit all the script thought up by people who have never answered a phone call. Company has become more about the money then the people making it successful. Seasoned employees are leaving and their jobs are not being trained on so management make already overwhelmed employees take on extra roles. The mental health and overall well being of the employees is overlooked and replaced by promises that everything will be better soon even though it never does.

Pros

Life before Ace was great - maybe some tightening was necessary but....

Cons

PRS personal lines became a very different Chubb after merger - especially with several new ice queens in charge. It was like their own private company with new rules. Other parts of Chubb are most likely run fairly, with reasonable management. What goes around must eventually come around - stop treating hard, faithful workers like dirt. You think you will get better, smarter, cheaper staff who will slave away for you? You need to earn the respect of your current staff and you still don't have it. If management would have come out of her office once in awhile to get to know the staff but that was and probably still is the point....Out of sight out of guilt, oops I mean mind so She can remove staff at will. Stay out of this unit - it is a toxic environment until ice queens are gone.

Pros

Compensation is decent and the benefits are ok.

Cons

Chubb was a great place to work prior to ACE purchasing & Rebranding. Now unfortunately even after a full year, the company still lacks a consistent direction. When someone leaves they do not replace them or they are slow to fill the void. This has caused other people in their units to take on additional workloads, making them second guess their jobs and to seek work elsewhere. Thus the cycle continues.
