      Unique business model (alliance with Roche) works well at this moment. Not sure in future.

      Pros

      A welfare program is good. A salary is also high enough to live Japan. Since it is a subsidiary of Roche, there are several opportunities to acquire a high-level skill and knowledge.

      Cons

      There is some overtimes, depending on a department. Partly because it could be Japanese culture and because a human resource is limited. Similarly, vacations for a couple of weeks are not acceptable.

      Pros

      Newly built out modern office environment, fun caring employees, small, intimate environment. The group is dedicated to early stage POC clinical work generally on rare diseases with an emphasis on autoimmune diseases and oncology. Really meaningful stuff! Opportunity to work in an integrated global environment.

      Cons

      Company is still figuring out how to work globally. There are integration issues among the different countries. Working with Japan can create language and logistical challenges, including early morning and late night video and voice conferences.
