Pros

Free movies, 50% discount, Great place to meet people and grow as a person in a work place, flexible with schedule.

Cons

dealing with rude and unreasonable customers, pay raise come rarely, inconsistent with rules and regulations, no real appreciation to employees, lack of communications, working constantly late nights, weekends are rarely off, pay is low for the requirements of the job, very little opportunity to grow within the business unless gained personal relationship and/or respect of management.

Great Team, Low Pay

Pros

Great opportunities for resume development--because we're typically low on payroll, you frequently get to be a jack of all trades and learn to be creative with scheduling and usage of hours. It's certainly a fun & active environment. No two days are ever the same. It's nice that promoting from within is encouraged, but it takes awhile to move up because you essentially have to wait for GMs to leave the company while they shift enough people around from theater to theater until a low level theater opens up for you to take over. Lateral moves are easier--Senior Assistant Manager to Auditor or something of the like.

Cons

It's hard to achieve both building success and work-life balance while working for a theater as management because you essentially must always have eyes on it. And the minute you take your eyes from it, that's likely the day an auditor walks through the doors. It's not that success isn't possible, it's that with the strong eye always on payroll hours, building performance suffers. And with pay being extremely low for the relative responsibilities, you either become a workaholic, or you suffer with low scores.

Pros

Free movie tickets and popcorn, you get to work with some great co-workers that can light up your day. A 50% discount only on your scheduled breaks and no other time.

Cons

Managers are always walking out on the job and when you need them, they wait at least 10 minutes before they show up. A manager tells you to do one thing and then another manager say's something different and then yells at you saying that you are the wrong one. Customers yelling at you and belittling you for some rule corporate made and sometimes the through things at you. They cut your work hours and then LIE to you saying that the state changed the part time labor law.
