Pros

Great people to work with. 2 free movie tickets a day was awesome. Free popcorn on your break and discounted concessions.

Cons

Sometimes long hours, especially when they don't staff appropriately. Concession works like dogs. Box office is a breeze and the most coveted position there. Management was a nightmare and would make people sick with anxiety and worry. The GM would scream at employees (I believe he no longer works there, thank god.) Overall my experience with Cinemark was left with severe feelings of anxiety and fear. Also, don't eat the food. The employees definitely do not properly clean their hands or their stations like they are supposed to. Expect at most a 0.25 cent raise annually.

Pros

Getting free movies is awesome, it's a lot better than most places I've worked.

Cons

I say this understanding it is a professional environment but I think the fact that all tattoos have to be covered and all piercings must be taken out is ridiculous. Also no unnatural colored hair. It's 2020 time to welcome a more diverse workplace. There is no reason a person can't be professional while also expressing themselves.

Pros

Free movies and that's about it.

Cons

This company does not care about you. They really push the family thing on you in orientation but it's nowhere to be seen. They never listen to your availability and then it is impossible to get out of a shift you should have never been scheduled for in the first place. Then if you give a shift away, the next week you'll have a total of 7 hours scheduled. It's honestly ridiculous. Harassment runs rampant. Management is almost never truly qualified. Seems the more qualified you are, the less likely you are to move up. They pick favorites and single out those they don't like. The cleanliness is seriously lacking and the roaches don't go hungry. They literally teach ushers to push the popcorn and stuff under your seats. Look next time. They push all this Merch on people and it sells like crazy meanwhile staff is still making just over minimum wage (if they're lucky). This company keeps a meatgrinder of teens and if they do get any adults it isn't long before they quit. It's almost impossible to actually maintain 35+ hours a week. Because Godforbid you're full time and they have to offer you benefits. They'll routinely schedule you for one thing and you'll come in only to read on a piece of paper that it's something entirely different with no warning. The breaks are unpaid and there are never enough lockers for anyone to put their things. People steal your lunch out of the refrigerator and money out of the lockers. Some people will constantly come in late and accomplish nothing but no one says anything yet the employees that care are rode like seabiscuit until everything is done. They schedule you like you're getting more hours at closing but also push you out the door early so you wind up short. They don't give you a physical pay stub and management will often forget to put your hours in or correct them eventhough they're the only ones who can. The few cool managers hate their lives too because they get jerked around just as much. No accountability. Y'all just need to do better.
