Pros

Cintas Partners are wonderful people! They all understand that the service aspect is the heart of the business and strive to develop and support one another. Cintas' values and mission are future focused and goal oriented. Weekly coaching is given and the freedom to run your "own business" is provided.

Cons

Communication between management and other partners can become clouded due to profitability goals or requirements. Office Partners are often required to complete multiple roles due to the hopes of saving money.

Pros

Good job for those with no college education, or those who are from the military. Benefits & medical are not bad, but you still have to pay around $100 a month.

Cons

No upward opportunities. They hire from without rather than promoting from within. Poor upper management from District Managers up to VP, who are all clueless and care only about numbers. There is always the blame game. There is also no accountability from senior management who don't want to spend money to hire trained maintenance workers but instead expect service partners (drivers and forklift drivers) to perform maintenance work on all machinery without any training. And when the machines break, the blame will be on the service partners or location managers, who will be disciplined or terminated. A solution to the problems are never provided, so the problems reoccur often, again with no real solution. The pay is about 70% of market rate, enough to keep you there, but too little for the work you provide. There are lots of closed doors and secrecy. Human Resources are there to help the company terminate partners without getting sued. Human Resources are not there to help the partners. Human Resources are never around unless they are trying to terminate a partner, then 3 HR personnel appear. Everyone is overworked. Overtime is mandatory for all partners; i.e. very bad work-life balance. Salary partners can not take vacation because the company do not have enough staff to handle the responsibilities when they take vacation. Those who try to take vacation will be asked to wait and also the work will have to be made up when they get back; you will have to work 16 hour days to complete everything after your vacation. No raises for 5 years. Work safety injuries are covered up to help the bottom line; i.e. put a band-aid on it. Plenty of auditors who come and point fingers but offer no help or solutions then leaves immediately; this happens every month. Cintas culture is just a gimmick to make you feel you are wrong if you don't believe or follow their ideology that your hard work and the company's cheapness will ultimately benefit everyone. The fact is, it only benefits the shareholders especially Mr. Farmer, who have stock options. The values they project are good on paper only, as no one in senior management follow what they preach. Don't complain or they will terminate you expeditiously. Nothing here ever changes for the better.
