Pros

Fair compensation for work asked to do.

Cons

Executive leadership is disconnected from the field operations. They really have no idea of the daily challenges faced daily by mid level managers. The support for management is lacking in the area career development a most top level managers "look" the same. Therefore, a lot of the decisions do not reflect the diversity of thought needed to move the organization forward. Ultimately this company is looking for robots that look and act like top level management, if your not "in" you will be out. The technology is horrible for an organization this size as they refuse to invest this critical need.

Pros

- Fairly friendly people - Nice office setting. Constantly improving and updating the building and surroundings - Never a shortage of potlucks - Diversity - Insurance benefits and incentives to reduce out of pocket costs. (pretty decent per independent, third-party audit of company and other national companies, shown by HR to employees) - Continued business growth ("job security")

Cons

-Pay (lower than average compared to other national companies and was confirmed by independent, third-party audit. Shown by HR to employees) - Could not move up higher in company without relocating, accrued paid time is still separated by vacation/sick time instead of lump PTO, not enough vacation/sick time (also verified in company audit, lower than national average for comparable companies) - Lengthy application process that does not seem to attract or retain knowledgeable and competent candidates - High turnover in office positions seems to match those in plant and production roles - Requests for employees to refer people they know to apply and are rarely called to interview - HR doesn't ever seem very knowledgeable about HR related questions - Management can be less than professional, especially when the big boss is away. Lots of horseplay, throwing footballs/balls indoors, and just very little care that others were working and possibly on phone calls - Management did not train employees and would always send those who would come to them for answers (as they should) to coworkers who were busy trying to do their own jobs - Always tried to find ways to circumvent the restrictions set in place by the systems we used to do special things for customer even though the issues would show up in discrepancy reporting
