Pros

easy job, anyone can do it.

Cons

The company doesn't care about their employees. They only care about making more money. I never received my W2 and they wanted to charge me $12 to mail me a replacement which is ridiculous. They focus on things that aren't that important like rewards tags when there are a million other things that they should focus on like robberies, homeless people doing drugs in front of the store ect. The pay is not what they deserve considering the amount of stress and danger you're put in on a daily basis. No brakes no matter how many hours you work. Don't waste your time with this company they're terrible and management are useless.

Pros

You meet the most talented and amazing people.

Cons

The company does not care about anyone individually, even if you have improved the store you've managed 10-fold. Paychecks, when wrong, take forever to get resolved. Too much weight on management shoulders; Loss Prevention fires without any warrant or investigation; store POS/lotto systems are lacking; policies are outdated and poorly constructed, etc.

Pros

It's a paycheck, if you're needing to ride time until you find a much better job this is the place for you!

Cons

Heavy workload for managers, tons of paperwork and useless forms that end up being a HUGE waste of time and paper. No hours to run the store (we can afford new signs, to waste paper and spend money re branding the stores fuel supply but not hours?) yet corporate expects store to be SPOTLESS. Upper management uses NO common sense what so ever, for all they care about are sales numbers. Managers are hourly so if they go over 50, we get written up or harassed about going over hours. Minimum wage employees are expected to interrupt customers to greet people walking through the door-nevermind the person standing in front of you, up sell products that customers 9 times out of 10 do not want and if they fail to do so on mystery shops they end up being documented or written up. Really? it's not like there's any incentive to upsell, so what's the point? who cares that the store manager and market manager get a bonus when employees that don't make any money are pressured to increase store profits. Circle K purchasing The Pantry was the WORST thing that ever happened to us. Our solid foundation has now gone down the toilet thanks to these jerks. We have also lost some great people who were in upper management from Pantry/Kangaroo. Hope they end up in the hole someday, serves them right.
