Pros

Cirrus was once a very Austin flare and people oriented company. This is what drew me to be passionate about my role there.

Cons

The culture and vibe of the company used to be very unique for many years! New HR VP and CEO have basically pushed out all of the strong dedicated “lifers” and want to make their mark on showing how they have cut budgets. Shocking and disturbing when there was an employee begging for help and assistance to perform better and instead of getting the needed help or even coaching them, they simply let them go right before Christmas with no warning! Scary that the company is starting to become cold and disheartening and makes current employees worried daily for their own job stability!

Pros

Overall Cirrus Logic is a good company with great facilities, perks, and benefits.

Cons

I think the individual experience can vary quite significantly based on the division you are working in, and unfortunately working in the MSA Division is a trip back to the 60's in terms of gender equality. I've never felt the 'good ole boys' club as strongly as I did at this company, nor have I ever witnessed so many blatant cases of harassment or discrimination. If the managers are required to take harassment training, it is falling on deaf ears, and there is no true accountability.

Great Company but arrogant, poor, and Unprofessional leadership

Pros

The people in general are good people. There is a select inter circle of people that abuse their political influence through the CEO.

Cons

Retention, average design group (they think they are the best - legend in their own minds). Unprofessional work environment, dishonest and disingenuous leadership. Poor diversification of product portfolio. Market group and product managers are worthless. Focus on one customer. There are some review plants in the Glass Door system that were done by the HR and select employees to bump Cirrus Logic appearance. Do not believe them. Don't be a lemming, the cliff is coming so for this company. They just can't see it because of their own arrogance.

Thanks for the feedback. It's worth noting that the company's attrition rate is well below the industry mean. Also, in data taken from employee surveys conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute, the company rates high on the overall "trust" factor, and no one is ever instructed, encouraged or incentivized to post slanted, positive reviews. In 2011, Cirrus Logic CEO Jason Rhode was named EE Times' Executive of the Year.
