Pros

I am only speaking to Sales, other orgs could be different. Great people among Individual Contributors, Manager/Senior Manager levels. I am very proud of the values modeled by Chuck and his ELT and their commitment towards a fair and equitable workplace, though that's one aspect of the job.

Cons

Sales promotions often determined by cliques, which in turn determined by political ideologies. I left voluntarily after a long tenure even though I wasn't eligible for the package, because I did not see a promotion path in am environment where advancement decisions are determined by nepotism/favoritism/buddy culture/race. Values modeled by Chuck and ELT do not percolate down the ranks. Culture is very inwardly focused in middle layers. Managers are not open to new ideas, have stopped listening to customers and the market, and are only focused on empire building. Employees spend so much time in "alignment meetings" there is no time left to do real work. The good news is that some of the leaders who created this culture in the org where I worked took the package last year, and I am optimistic that new management is bringing a different approach.

Pros

Some of the policies and benefits are good. You can make use of them only, if you are in a good team and under supportive manager, which is rare.

Cons

No focus on building long-term sustainable business. Too many re-orgs & lay offs. Too much of control given to first-level managers. No concept of peer-reviews for performance. Individual feedbacks are hardly considered. Observed the work overloading on Contractors and Visa-holders in majority of the teams, as they always struggle to secure their jobs, agree to do whatever the low-profile work assigned to them by managers. Most managers knowingly do this, that benefits some lazy full time employees with poor performance and too many personal priorities during the work hours, who doesn't have visa limitations. No value for the talent & hard work. Lay off lists are prepared as per the convenience of the managers and HR, to secure their jobs with less or no efforts on identifying the bottom performers who are surviving in the company for decades with high salaries.
