Pros

Good pay, some positions allow a lot of creative freedom. Flex hours, telecommuting available.

Cons

Lack of technical people in director and above roles, lots of politics get in the way of progress. not loyal to employees - your safest as a contractor.

Pros

• Depending on position potentially good pay • Some potentially interesting projects in security, IoT • Strong existing customer relationships and cashflow

Cons

• Too much internal politics - Cisco's main competition seems to be itself • Appears unable to innovate and will need to continue to acquire technologies and then continue annual limited restructuring (layoffs) to keep workforce expense in check • Lack of diversity in the work force • In the midst of massive organizational turnover at all levels

Thank you for your review. To respond to some of your concerns, it is important to remember that Cisco is a large company, so if you are unhappy with the projects you are assigned, there are plenty of opportunities to work on new ones! We also recognize that Cisco is constantly changing, which can mean making difficult decisions. Please be assured that these decisions are based on what is best for the company as a whole.

Pros

Most everything is project-based so when, where & how you do it is largely up to you. Level of worker trust and autonomy is first rate

Cons

No clear, efficient process to move talent around the company as inevitably some products are hits while others fail. Cisco over rotated on performance reviews. Went from onerous do it yourself yearly dissertations that direct managers "graded" to informal sync-ups that largely get blown off or skipped because they are too unstructured. Cisco needs to rethink performance reviews so they get better performance.

Thank you for your feedback. We will take it into consideration but encourage employees to give Team Space their best effort, as it is a reputable method of evaluation.
