      Great security product set with good vision for security.

      Cons

      Mgmt is a revolving door and no one knows how to manage up! Unrealistic quotas are set which means we make no where near our OTE!

      Pros

      -Still some amazing people to work with and endless learning opportunities -If you are early in career, this is currently the place to be -Very flexible work schedule in most positions with a lot of latitude to work remotely

      Cons

      -If you are middle aged white male demographic, you have a better chance of becoming the morning weather girl than to advance -Bloated corporate structure -- lot of unwritten rules about moving into new positions (did you do this job and this job first, etc.) -Lack of excitement and lot of turnover right now...lot of long time pros are leaving the company which could be pro or con depending on your perspective.

      Once a great company ...

      Pros

      Cisco has the money to provide engineers with equipment to do their work. So if you're an engineer and loves to be an engineer and you're lucky to be in the few business units that still value your work, then good for you.

      Cons

      Too many Cisco Business Units (BU) waste their times in useless talks leading nowhere. My friends at Cisco in other BU report the same thing. Cisco is no longer what it used to be. These BUs are simply rotten with politics. Managers and directors falsify their work results to please their VPs. All they care for is to be "visible" to VPs and upper-management. Care for great product quality is the least of their priority. Of course customers are not happy. Product quality has degraded a lot.
