Pros

Good Benefits. Most people sit until 7pm for Dinner and Until 9pm to take black car to home. I think they are wasting client's money. IT audit can help them resolve this problem.

Cons

- Record Management is serious concern in Real Estate fund accounting department. They don't properly save records or attach files in Yardi System. Lot of entries don't have proper backup. This problem become even worse because they have quick layoff problem, so in most cases they just either don't find records because person who did the actual entry is not there anymore(in some instances) or spend enormous amount of time in looking for records, which cost money to investors. - Repetitive work that don't add any value to investor reporting material or financial statements. - Lead Manager is not CPA or Have Masters degree, they are simply not aware about real estate standards and are working by hearing "word of mouth". - There "to do list" is more 4 page long (roughly 200 rows in excel). Its because senior manager don't want to take initiative in resolving problems. I guess its maybe because they don't have experienced managers or lot of clients, or not enough staff. - HR is not independent. They don't want to hear about problems or advise about internal controls. If you do that then they will let you go. Its because IT audits can reveal negative discussions at some point, so they layoff before further discussions. - No Ethics committee. If you ask HR to give you their number or website information then they will say that they don't have one. So, unbelievable.

Really surprised and disappointed to see this review from one of our former colleagues. Employee welfare is one of our underpinning values and providing transport home for people who stay late is something extra that Citco pays for, not our clients. Citco has won multiple industry awards over the years, including HFMs Best Administrator awards for 2016, 2015, 2014 and beyond – something we could not have achieved if our systems and records were anything but world class. There is a lot of diversity in the role, however we appreciate that some elements of accounting reconciliation can be repetitive. However our rigorous review processes ensure the integrity of the reporting we produce and that is what our clients depend upon us for. While many of our managers are CPAs or CFAs and hold either bachelors or masters degrees, Citco prides itself on promoting from within based on capability and merit in the job, not academic qualifications. Finally, the HR group supports employee welfare and strives to provide a confidential and safe environment for employees to raise issues.’

Thank you for your comments. Our Reward team has been addressing our Pay for Performance processes over the last couple of years with a focus on ensuring that our top talent and high performing employees at all levels receive merit increases and bonuses commensurate with their contribution. We also take into account that junior staff (non-exempts) are eligible for overtime pay (in the U.S) and this is taken into consideration when making total compensation decisions

Pros

The location was nice and the medical benefits were nice. They used to be free, now they charge your per paycheck, but still good coverage.

Cons

What was promised in terms of quality of hires I would be able to make to expected travel, responsibilities, etc. were completely different once I was hired. Budget for new hires was slashed and resources were thin. More interested in the bottom line instead of getting the job done right and then trimming back.

Sorry to hear that your experience during a period of change was challenging, but we appreciate your feedback. The Malvern operation experienced rapid growth which, on one hand is great but, can obviously put a strain on some while getting the right balance of resources. We’re nearly there now, and we continue to offer comprehensive benefits and training for our employees.
