Pros

Compensation is good and over time is always offered

Cons

If there was a zero star review I would choose . This company does not encourage upward mobility and does not believe in retaining good talent and investing in their people . They are very good at marketing these characteristics to lure you in but do not follow through on promises. They have manger who have been in their roles for Decades without zero supplemental training . They have zero knowledge of what the company actually offers for there employees and offer zero support in helping there employee's find the right resources to grow and develop professionally. If you want to be stuck in retail banking for decades and join the rest of the robot team this is the company for you . They also do not have good bonus plans to reward all the hard work they make their employees do . They will dangle discretionary bonus plans in your face all year to make you work harder and then pay you out once a year or not at all If that’s your mangers discretion . Avoid this company like the plague if you want to make anything out of your career in banking

Pros

* You too can sit in those Zoom meetings forever, be marked as present and pass performance reviews.

Cons

* Hordes of middle management and their minions talking pipe dreams in endless Zoom meetings, eventually getting their projects cancelled and moving onto next. * Half of meetings are spent deciding which communication tool to use for desktop sharing, then setting it up, since there are 3 used simultaneously. * Tons of poorly configured and disjointed company wide tools, overlapping each other doing same things in different and incompatible ways. * You need to open 3-4 tickets in different systems just to get a simple task completed or obtain basic access. * Total lack of security culture on developer level, publishing their private data on every platform possible. * Sending huge stacks of attached files over email without making use of content management systems, resulting in tons of outdated versions floating all over the place. * Professionals with up to date expertise and real world achievements are being pushed out because nobody wants change. Why would they? * Endless bureaucracy, micromanaging every little aspect, they cannot have groups control their own applications or related infrastructure, there must be a dozen other teams overlapping on top, blocking your every move. So they can sit in meetings forever and keep themselves employed.

Pros

None. This is a terrible, disorganized company to work for. Biggest mistake in my 30 year professional career was coming to work for Citi

Cons

Constant reorgs, I was twice moved into jobs that I had no professional experience in. Company prefers to hire from outside despite HR’s constant propaganda of making a lateral move for your career at Citi. As a Hispanic female, I was frequently used in the interview process for internal postings to satisfy minority interview quotas set by Citi.
