Pros

I have worked at many Fortune 500 companies and many of them only cares about the bottom line. They are ready to dump employee to meet the numbers. I feel that Citizant CEO has created a culture of caring for well being of employees. Sure, we all have to work hard to please customer. But having great support from CEO and headquarter staff goes a long way in being successful.

Cons

In the era of stagnant or shrinking budgets, I am worried that Government contracting is a zero sum gain.

Pros

There is a difference between managers and leaders. Citizant consistently hires 'leaders', even at non-managerial levels. The leaders here empower the employees to build trusts with each other, other leaders, and most importantly OUR CUSTOMERS! Our values aren't something just posted on a wall or printed on company placemat, we live them. Everyday.

Cons

If you are not a self-starter or need to be micro-managed, you will struggle here.

Pros

I appreciated the ability to work collaboratively and independently with such a talented and capable group of people. It was great to work with people that cared about our company and the value we are delivering to our customer. I also appreciated the variety and diversity in the work itself; it created myriad learning opportunities, and kept the work interesting. Most importantly, our CEO is innovative, forward looking, and a genuinely kind and caring person.

Cons

To succeed in the world of government contracting, you must be good with ambiguity; sometimes things take longer than you expect (e.g., federal clearances) and you have to take charge and find ways to add value during these times. Contracts end and new ones start, requiring flexibility and the willingness to take charge of your own professional development.
