Pros

At a time when most companies are cutting back, eMASON continues to grow and be successful because their Clarifire product is amazing. I chose to work for eMASON because the office environment is energetic and everyone works as a team to get things done. There is a lot of opportunity for growth and the one thing that sticks out of my mind when I first began with eMASON is that they really take the time to "train" their new hires to get to know Clarifire inside and out. I was pretty amazed that all employees use the Clarifire application so we become experts just from using it. Even though it is a fast-paced environment, everyone is super friendly and you feel that they want to help you succeed. If you can think on your feet and welcome change, eMASON would be an ideal company for you.

Cons

The cons depends on your personality. For me, a fast-pace office environment where new innovative ideas are welcome is an ideal fit for me because that is how my mind works. If you expect a slow office environment or a a conservative workplace, you may want to work for someone else.

Pros

Small company with close working access to senior management. Great place for a hands on and up front experience in IT project management. Limited restriction on software applications (tools you can use). Initial salary is higher then most companies. Larger than average desk space. Ability to be involved in whatever project that comes up providing one proves their competence. Company wide milestone or holiday celebrations.

Cons

Training is not as intense and long as it should be. New employees tend to be thrown into projects with little knowledge. Salary increases not offered for work performed until resignation. Employee 'cliques' are strong which prohibits needed knowledge sharing and acclamation. Founders of the company are too closely involved in the day in and day out daily decisions. Senior management gets involved in cliquey activities and are quick to judge based on hearsay.

Pros

1. Small but growing company - You will be asked to wear multiple hats in getting job done - so be prepared to work with little direction and strict deadlines. 2. Access to Senior Management better than other companies. 3. Some of the employees are best in their class!

Cons

1. Small Company - You'll be noticed if you are not putting in 9+ hrs everyday and at-least 50 hours each and every week. 2. Long term employees are favored over newer employees.(there is an inner circle and outer circle) 3. More and more new hires are contractors rather than full-time employee. This doesn't bode well for future career growth. 4. No flex time - taking time off is a big hassle plus telecommute is not an option. 5. Absolutely No bonuses to hard working employees. 6. Salary raise is minimal so if you are coming in as a new employee, you better bargain hard! 7. Some of the employees have a horrible attitude and work ethic. You wonder how they get away with that(inner circle maybe?)
