Pros

TR IP and Science was one of the best providing Innovative search platforms across various market segments.

Cons

TR provided opportunities for professional and career development which now no longer exist with lack of new employee on-boarding, business unit induction, and such a focus on sales results win a daily basis that you do literally have to hit the ground running. The company is largely competing in sectors where its products no longer provide competitive advantage, including the most profitable, and where new disruptive companies and technologies will completely change the landscape within the next 3 - 5 years. The executive team has been completely overhauled and is bringing back ideas from the former glories of some of its constituent businesses.. it remains to be seen whether this will actually pay off. The commercial organisation is going through a great deal of change with parts of sales and marketing going through never-ending changing and becoming ever more complex, creating especially tough working environments in this part of the business. There has been a significant loss of talented personnel and not the same calibre of new blood.

Pros

Remote work opportunities Most ppl are nice and helpful Pay is ok - if you came in before the private equity took over

Cons

No path to advancement. Private equity backed - they hired new ppl at the top (expected) and then those ppl hired their own ppl directly under them (also expected), but now the company is so different and it feels like the walls that we've tried to break down across teams and business units have gone back up. Communication across teams and organization is terrible. Everyone wants to keep their head down and remain under the radar. Morale is very low. A significant portion of the Sales Operations and Customer Care teams have been "transitioned" to India (resulting in a lot of layoffs).

Pros

Used to be good talent - now nothing

Cons

Where to begin... ever since the sale of the IP&S business, it's been a steady decline. Rushing to launch new systems, no training for supposed experts, outsourcing of jobs to save a buck, no regard for the talent and domain experience the company would be losing, shrinking benefits, dying morale, making the job as unpleasant as possible to avoid paying out severance, I could go on and on, but you get the point - two words - JUST DON'T
