Pros

Flexible hours, working closely to dedicated staff, opportunities to take on more responsibilities if desired. As a student, I really enjoyed getting to work and support a department I loved.

Cons

This was a pretty flexible a casual job setting. Certain resources weren't available to me as an assistant, like a personal work place, an office phone, printer, etc. I had to make it work with personal resources and sometimes on my own time.

Great people, great energy on campus from students and staff, many opportunities for collaboration with undergrads or grad students, quirk

Cons

Salary is not as high as larger universities, still has painfully few benefits for part-time or adjunct faculty, location in Worcester may be a con for some
