A great place to start gaining experience in the mental health field after receiving your undergrad. They present themselves as the most understanding and down-to-earth of employers, however be warned it's not at all what it seems. The supervisors are very helpful and eager to answer questions related to trainings, paperwork, etc.

Cons

If you are about to get married or experience a major family event this is NOT the company you want to work for during this time. They will not give you time off during the school year a part from what the law allows. Their communication is inconsistent and as a clinician you will be blamed for any shortfalls. This paradigm of poor communication and blame is common throughout the company in other regions too.

There are no pros at all when it comes to working at Pathways.

Cons

They try to shame you when you do not participate in potlucks. I mean if you see someone put their finger in gravy and put it in there mouth and stick the food back in the microwave you would not participate as well. The company gives credit to the ones that do not do the work. Senior Benefit Specialists gets all the kudos while the benefit specialist does the work. It's alot of teacher pet situations going on. No one stays.
