Pros

Great learning opportunity - you get a lot of responsibilities early on, which propels you to grow quickly.

Cons

Zero work-life balance. Toxic and competitive work culture - you're expected to work 60+ hours every week with very little appreciation. There are some good managers and teammates, but overall people tend to be competitive (rather than collaborative) and are looking out for themselves. Leadership often overpromises, and managers want to over-deliver. Timelines are often as short as possible. Very little pushback from leadership or managers when there is scope creep. All of these factors lead to non-existent work-life balance and unpleasant work experience.

Pros

- The people at ClearView are intelligent, interesting, and fun. I have developed great friendships from working at ClearView (in part because of the shared trauma) and appreciated the many social activities held pre-COVID. - You get a unique insight into the healthcare industry and learn a lot of skills and knowledge that can't be gained easily otherwise.

Cons

- Utter lack of work-life boundaries. Long work hours can be expected in consulting, but the 24/7 on-call culture really drives up stress and anxiety. It's typical to receive work requests during federal/company holidays, vacations, and medical appointments/sick time off. Most of these requests are for small tasks, but this creates an awful culture where employees are expected to be glued to their email and computers at all times. - Prioritization of $$$ over the wellbeing of employees.

Pros

1. Amazing people 2. If you want to be in the life sciences industry, working here would be incredible over McKinsey or other firms because you get real expertise rather than a general toolkit 3. You will learn from the best people who juggle nitty gritty science to big bucks business, and you will be amazed every single day at their genius.

Cons

1. Horrible work hours compared to what they pay in terms of base and bonus 2. Need to normalize "weekends off" and at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night 3. Leadership is great at selling projects, but not at managing people; every organization needs good managers to grow. 4. There is no difference skills wise between an analyst and a senior analyst, and arguably no real difference between SA's and consultants. This company needs to promote faster, or pay a greater base salary to analysts.
