Not a place to work

Pros

New office looked nice but didn't have many happy folks working for them in building.

Cons

This is not a good place to work. They don't have senior leaders that take charge, or are there on merit...best buddies. Not much in the way of new technology coming out or that works and no long term directions. On the sales side of things you wont make money unless you have assigned existing accounts and have access to up sell them. Partner program doesnt work, they hate Cleo since they screwed them and wont work with partners and the typically have no clue on how you get paid. Upper management in Sales needs to go.....they change direction every few weeks, dont support the staff and often lie to customers about the product , pricing and support. Don't waste your time working here ... Cleo's once good name is fading. CEO should leave if he can't sell out.

Pros

Although declining, Cleo has a lot of loyal customers utilizing their secure data movement & integration software, VLTrader.

Cons

The new leadership/ownership, formerly of I2 fame, brought along with them a culture of bullying and ultra micro-management that first shows it's ugly head once you attend your first 3 day Quarterly Business Review (QBR) or their week long Boot Camp Sales Training. Finally, develop a true enterprise class software solution rather than repackaging an existing one only to market it under a different name in order to increase the software license fees of your current and potential customers.

Pros

It’s a job that pays so you can at least pay your bills (insert eye roll 🙄 )

Cons

Senior management is beyond incompetent. They have no idea what they are doing. They put brown nosers with little experience to run projects and to manage more experienced personnel. They lie and tell you the reason these idiots have been put in charge is because they have certain knowledge or know how. When you start working with them, you quickly realize, they don’t have the expertise and they need you to advise them. Now you may be asking, why would they do this? Well that’s because, your job is being outsourced to India. They are training Indians to shadow you and replace you. Also a lot of politics being played. Anyone worth their salt shouldn’t come here. This is not a place to grow. Get out if you’re already here and if you’re thinking of joining, RUN!!!

We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. We are truly dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all our employees around the globe, so we are surprised to hear about some of your experiences. For concerns regarding mismanagement and unguided leadership, I would urge you to reach out to HR directly, so that we can work together to better understand the experience you are having and make necessary adjustments. In regards to your statements about outsourcing, this we can directly and definitely address, especially in case any of our amazing employees in our India office are feeling belittled by your accusations. Cleo is a global enterprise and our operations in India allow us to support our customers, develop software and implement our solutions around the clock. We are hiring across all our locations and have backfilled each role in the same location. With over 80% of our employees in the US, our colleagues (current and future) in India are not replacements for any operation within Cleo. Although we are disappointed that you chose to direct your frustration by singling out a group of your esteemed colleagues, we still encourage you to reach out to HR, so we can discuss this further. Our responsibility is to be a champion for each and every one in the Cleo family, no topic is too big or too small.
