Pros

good new hire training.

Cons

Rotating schedule 2/2 seems management still cannot figure out scheduling . some days overstaffed to where we need to call of 5-7 nurses and some days we are only three nurses staffed for 24 patients. Too many hands in one pot and not knowing what each is doing. Have to work minimum two years same position to move on to different area,( used to be one year). It is very discouraging, feels like being stuck in one place for two years before able to make a career move.

Pros

Benefits and tuition reimbursement

Cons

You will not be respected as a Nurse. I have worked at three hospital systems. The Clinic was the worst to work at. I am so relieved not to work there. They are “at will” and will throw an RN under the bus in a heartbeat. You are just a body and easily replaced. Don’t think they care either! This is a doctors hospital. This starts off as if you don’t pass the PBDS, you are let go. If your manager does not like how you are doing in your 90 day orientation, you are let go. There is a high demand and a very high turnover rate at the Clinic for nurses. Metro and UH are better choices for nurses in Cleveland. The Clinic is not a nurses hospital.

Pros

Great medical benefits that get better if you submit to activity tracking of steps then health insurance premiums decrease as you meet certain targets, graduating pension, 401k matching up to 6%,

Cons

Salary a bit low, a bit stuffy, since it is a hospital, most developed career paths are for medically minded individuals and this leaves the support structure for other career paths less developed
