Pros

Honestly, the Platform is amazing. The concept and the idea is brilliant. Zeb is for sure revolutionizing the arena. Benefits and perks are amazing.

Cons

As a relatively new startup, as a company with a defined, youthful culture such as ClickUp is, it would be one with fresh, new ideas, cooperative collaboration, innovation, and strong excitement and incentive to become a leader in its field of operation. It should be a company that is open, friendly, imaginative and explorative. But sadly, in my view, it has become quite the opposite in a number of ways. There is a great deal of fear being generated by this one individual who is in a place of highest authority within the company. This fear as described below is creating a sense of low morale throughout the company and that in turn will undermine the productivity of the organization. Why? People are fearful of expressing their educated opinions, their fact based conclusions and proof that supports those conclusions of why a great outcome would ensue had their perspective been utilized. They fear that they will be turned away in a condescending fashion and therefore why even bother to bring their ideas to the table, especially when asked to do so. This leads to low morale. And we all know that low morale is not supportive of a healthy company.

Pros

Zeb has done a great job developing product that truly has a ton of potential to become a requirement in tech stacks at companies across the world. Culture is good overall, but bad cultures are starting to develop among individual teams.

Cons

CEO is a world-class Chief Product Officer — but he’s not a CEO. Great guy with a big heart too! Decisions are made in a bubble and often without consulting department leaders. When they do consult, they disregard. A 27 year old (not the CEO) makes the decisions for the entire company which are near-sighted and not scalable. Those who speak up are terminated or removed from position. This leader specifically targets hiring inexperienced professionals and gives them titles they are not qualified for at such a large company in exchange for them going along with the status quo. Horrible business execution. A lot of work needs to be done to move upmarket successfully. Toxicity is quickly brewing and department leaders see it - not too long before the rest of the employees do as well.
