Pros

It is a remote job

Cons

Horrible salary ($40K) but in the interview process they tell you that won't matter because you will be making $70K your first year and second year you will be making six figures. There is no 401K because by your third year you "will" be hitting profit share that supposedly has a huge return; it's impossible to hit unless you sell your soul to the job and don't have a life because you have to dedicate all of your time to finding one great candidate to send everywhere. The interviewer is just a good salesperson but it's all lies. The training was terrible, you're basically thrown to the wolves and left on your own. The senior recruiters are not welcoming and are very territorial. Any recruiter can work with any client but they make sure to intimidate you so that you don't contact anyone they work with and then they steal the jobs you should've had. They have a terrible system with clients, never get resume or interview feedback for candidates and then you don't have anything to tell your candidates which makes you look bad. They keep jobs open in their system so that their numbers look good but the hospital already filled the role and they keep it open just in case it comes back so they can claim it. Extremely unprofessional, they make fun of candidates in meetings for doing what is best for themselves, going as far as writing a "rap" about one candidate in particular. The CEO is not involved at all. Doesn't talk to any of the new employees. Commission is paid out once a candidate completes however many days required in contract but their contracts with hospitals are so bad that they don't even pay for the candidate and then the recruiter misses out on their money. Several people left the company without having been paid their commission on placements. All the new employees catch onto the shadiness of the company and no one lasts long.

Pros

My manager taught me everything about healthcare. I really learned a lot and it’s a great job to learn recruiting.

Cons

Commission structure doesn’t have a huge return unless you BUST your booty.
