Poor Pay

Pros

Time off and some flexibility

Cons

The Executive Director is often out of touch with the day to day operations of certain programs, and this impacts decision-making at the top level in a negative way. The salaries offered do not in any way match the amount of experience, education, knowledge or number of hours that any given person works.

Pros

Most people seem friendly enough

Cons

- No transparency in management - Inconsistency in support provided to employees - ELT seems checked out or otherwise unconcerned with direct care issues - Upper management is sarcastic when discussing serious business matters with clinical staff - Overspending on company events when most direct care workers are asking for deserved and necessary raises - Pay does not keep up with inflation, so you will be making less money the longer you work there - Typical traps and pitfalls of a company that advertises itself as “being a family” - Job descriptions, duties, locations, and schedules can change without notice or consent - Obvious cliques among teams, inappropriate conflict management techniques

Pros

The company provides great trainings, great access to supervision, and fantastic health care and paid time off. The scheduling was flexible and I wasn’t micromanaged. co-workers, PD opportunities /and work culture is top notch.

Cons

e productivity was hard to meet, you’re expected to book 7 clients per day, if you’re working 40 hours a week. That’s a taxing amount of clients, and it’s also nearly impossible due to the inevitable no shows with this population, and a lack of cancellation policy. The pay was horrible, and looking back genuinely felt exploited for the pay rate I had, and the fact I was unable to keep up with the productivity despite booking clients, really made things unmanageable for myself. But co-workers, PD opportunities /and work culture is top notch.
