Pros

Very flexible with new and experienced therapists. They don't micromanage FFS clinicians and offer tons of opportunities for free training.

Cons

Although FFS is the way to go to make any $$, it's taxing with not having any vacation time.

Pros

- highly supportive work environment with regular, hour-long clinical supervision to process challenging cases in order to prevent workplace trauma & countertransference - lots of training opportunities to support personal & professional growth - strong emphasis on teamwork - my own mental health and sense of physical and emotional safety always feels like a priority - internship training is so effective that the transition into employment was incredibly easy

Cons

- unavoidable trial-by-fire learning process if you work with the crisis team; can easily be overwhelming if you don't respect our own limitations and/or feel able to reach out when you need support - you might be called upon to provide transportation to clients by nature of the CBHC grant

Clinical & Support Options Inc. is indeed a large nonprofit behavioral health corporation, helping more than 24,000 individuals and families across Western and Central Massachusetts by providing a broad range of affordable trauma-informed care. We maintain more than 19 locations, and our COA accreditation reflects our ability to offer staff and clients premium office space in a clean, bright, and healthy environment. Our layouts for offices are based on the principles of trauma informed care and are also based on consumer feedback. CSO values its employees and offers industry-leading benefits and training as well as competitive salaries. Moreover, CSO adheres to Board-approved policies for staff training, supervision, and promotion. We are excited to be a leader in the new CBHC behavioral health redesign and the onset of industry leading salaries. We are proud of our partnership with community partners such as our schools. We realize that while sitting at such locations full-time, it might feel challenging to fully absorb the CSO culture and supports, but we remain available to provide support in achieving that. To help guide agency improvements, CSO surveys staff each year. In the most recent employee satisfaction survey, staff overwhelmingly indicated their satisfaction, with 92% of respondents saying they get to "do what they love everyday" at CSO, and 95% seeing CSO as "improving communities" with our work.
