      Good company, but not public anymore

      Good team, can contribute to open source apache projects

      Cons

      After bought by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and KKR, we (obviously) don't get any new stock plans but get some "stock option" kind of thing. But this will only match my current salary, if the value of the company will rise 4-5 times in the next few years. Management is optimistic, but hard to believe them.

      Pros

      Flexible, decent salary, lots of good people. Despite its problems still can be a step up from the average software company, depends where you are.

      Cons

      Chaos is emerging, no new annual equity packages, something bogus replaced it, total income will decline. Future seems a bit cloudy and a lot of key people have already left. Does not feel like a top notch company any more.

      Joined this organisation in Jan 2021. Been with so many global companies so far. But Cloudera is the best so far. So much focus on people well being, respect for individual, work life balance, transparency. Extremely wonderful organisation to work for. Best time to be in Cloudera

      Cons

      None as of now. Company is on a growth part. Lot of people think that by going private- company will change. But i thoroughly believe, this is for the longer growth perspective and they will get public by bouncing back even stronger. KKR investors are smart folks who knows how to turn companies around. The best time to be in Cloudera is now and be a part of the success story that is.
