      Chaotic and Constant Changes

      -Smart co-workers -Nice office - Lots of free food -Great telecommuting poilcy

      Cons

      -Possibly missed the best timeline for IPO as they are services mostly with no real software offerings -Company was probably overvalued too soon and now valuation has dropped significantly -Cloudera claims "transparent" culture; however my department had lots of politics, constantly changing roadmap, management not upfront regarding changes - Experienced micromanaging style from management without any real collaboration -Above average employee turnover

      HR is full of lip service

      There is still immense potential, and ways to retain employees who actually care, simply don't waste it.

      Cons

      Saw HR's reply to the review titled "Really HR? ...". Several people have talked to upper management about the lack of female leadership and other issues mentioned in other reviews, yes, your open door policy. The answer always refers us to the HR. The HR seems helpless, full of lip service and not committed to the goal of protecting Cloudera legally. There seems to be a clique of VPs, including HR, and the interest is to extend each other's tenure by nodding and complying with each other, with minimum effort to change the status quo. "Hate crimes" have happened in Cloudera and keeps happening again and again, the HR has exposed the company to real legal risks this way.

      Pros

      - Arguably the hottest company in the hottest space within all of enterprise tech - Smartest people you will ever meet work here. Just take a quick look at leadership board on the website! - Unmatched opportunity within Sales Org, growing at an amazing pace - Fast paced sales environment, no corporate hierarchy or bureaucracy to deal with that you would see at an Oracle type company - Best office perks around- laptop, amazing office locations, fully catered meals

      Cons

      Not enough time in the day! You could also say its hard to retain all the top talent considering how hot the market is. Comp structure could be a bit more competitive as well but considering Cloudera has the pick of the litter it makes sense they may not always be the highest bidder...
