Pros

High pay and good bennies. My direct colleagues were champs (all former employees as we were all axed together). Some content ideas are good, but executed in slapdash manner.

Cons

Everything else. Management makes a huge effort to find the "best" people, then doesn't trust or support them to do their jobs. And it's a churn---they expect top results with very little turnaround, nebulous directions and, again, very little support. Because of quotas, there isn't time to do great work, just mediocre, C-student efforts. The top brass is mercurial and capricious; directives are constantly shifting. Also, layoffs are the norm. They hire to get tax incentives and then let people go. I heard the VP's car got set on fire by someone who got the boot. In the employee parking lot!

Pros

Pay - golden handcuffs. That’s about it.

Cons

Everything is dictated from the top. Leads to very little autonomy of the employees that execute on the initiatives and managers just doing what they’re told. Builds animosity within the organization because managers are unable to communicate the poorly thought out initiatives. Anyone who brings up flaws are considered as going “against the grain” etc. As a researcher, outside of navigating the poorly run organization it’s the same work and expectations every day and at the end of the month, your metrics reset and you have to do it all over again.

Pros

-Pay is above average for the area, that's about it

Cons

Where to begin...I can't speak to all departments, this is just the department I was in: -The culture is so metrics driven, it's become irredeemably toxic. The department is being treated like a sales department, despite it not being sales -They have TV screens on the floors showcasing to everyone how close you are to reaching your metrics. They say it's "motivational" but it's really a scare tactic to make you afraid of losing your job -Speaking of losing your job - I had at least 3 coworkers who were fired in the time I worked there for "not meeting their metrics". They were put on performance plans with unreasonable expectations to "bring them back up to goal" and then fired before their performance plans even ran out. How they approach firing people is also questionable, as they call someone into a conference room with HR and then have another individual go to their desk and gather their belongings (which, to be honest, if anyone touched my personal belongings without my permission I would throw a fit) -All of the associates are miserable and on the look out for new jobs. I didn't know a single person who worked there when I did who was happy, and management KNOWS the environment is miserable and toxic and does nothing to change it because it comes from the absolute top and everyone's too afraid to say anything -The managers are so far removed from reality, it's laughable -They monitor badge swipes (to ensure you are working a minimum of 40 hours a week, despite the majority of employees in our department not being hourly), and on the one day you get to work from home they monitor how long you are away from your computer. -If you're sick more than once in a year, be prepared to either come into the office sick or use your limited vacation days. They offer NO flexibility to WFH when sick and you only get 5 sick days annually, so god forbid you're out with the flu once and then catch COVID another time, you better be prepared to not take a vacation that year.
