Pros

Good pay, nice pto and paid sick days. Some people say they have no work life balance but I personally have never worked over 40 hours a week. I’ve worked with super talented people who have taught me so much and I’ve learned a ton at this job thanks to my immediate coworkers

Cons

The company's decisions took me from loving my job to hating it in just a few weeks. - FULLY quantity over quality driven - Took away all our creative freedom and incentive to do good work - No one really has power to change anything except the VP and ceo. even directors and managers seem as helpless as the rest of us most of the time. - Used to be hybrid with WFH fridays and is now 5 days in person, no exceptions. they made us come in on a snowy day and a coworker crashed their car on the way to the office, so that's just an example of how much they hate remote work. - They laid off half the department of writers and video editors (~130 people) and then 2 weeks later I see a job posting for a video editor for the same department. Decisions like this happen all the time and make no sense. I don't regret taking this job, like I said I’ve learned a ton and the salary really improved my life. However you pretty much have to disassociate your job from the rest of your life if you don't want to be annoyed and angry most days.

Pros

My coworkers are great. Benefits are good.

Cons

I don’t even know where to begin. The sales force is working to support their core product and also roll out an entirely new product to an entirely different set of customers. Cold calling with scripts and monitored calls like a call center. Insane metrics that change weekly (or daily) and vary from region to region. Management is all afraid of Andy and won’t stand up to him even knowing the toll the culture is taking on their people. You are a number and a means to make Andy and the shareholders money and nothing more. The homes product does not deliver and the sales force is blamed. Vague threats. Calls potential customers “losers” for not being able to afford his new product. It’s toxic from the top down and the only reason to work here is if there is no other option. This isn’t sales. It’s telemarketing for a narcissist.

This Job Made Me Fall into Depression

Pros

Decent pay and benefits if you work there long enough. The company doesn't skimp out on providing you with tools and vehicle. It's a large company so there's room to move around and opportunities to climb the corporate ladder if that's your thing.

Cons

Upper Management is horrible! It starts from the top and trickles down- lots of terrible decisions, lack of respect, lack of planning and foresight...This company is run like the Russian military- just throw people into the meat grinder. It's not any one thing that makes working here miserable, it's just a thousand different things that add up over time. The company environment is TOXIC!!! Lots of dissatisfaction and complaining, senior leadership talks down to people, huge turnover rate.
