Pros

CoStar gives their employees snacks and salads everyday and it is a great environment to work in. Also, every person I worked with was very approachable and I never felt scared to talk to my manager about anything, work related or not.

Cons

For a territory representative to get promoted, they must hit certain goals and quotas. That is not abnormal, but the promotion only meant a tiny bit more money and a title change. Nothing about the actual job changes.

Pros

Good employee benefits and break rooms in main office headquarters . Snacks available and you can also buy stock in the company.

Cons

Where to begin...this company has a cult mentality where the CEO calls all the shots whether they are benificial for the company or not. If you speak up with a different opinion there is a good chance you won't be around very long. Since the acquisitions of Apts.com & Apt Finder it has added a great deal more stress to everyone as this was not a field CoStar had any prior knowledge about. The commission plan is forever changing and it is impossible to keep track of what you are to be paid. The structure is constantly being revised. There is a lot of back bighting and fighting over who gets the clients commission causing inner tension within the sales teams. The Monday conference calls are an all day event with no real agenda when our time could be better spent servicing our customers. After seeing massive layoffs of long term people coupled by a very hostile work environment it was time to leave.
