      -Great coworkers -Free salads and snacks -Nice rooftop -Nice building and location -Teaches the basics of CRE and prepares for an actual job in the industry -9-5 hours strictly enforced

      Cons

      -Ridiculous metrics that affect your small bonus -Poor pay -Intense office politics due to young and inexperienced management -A strong disconnect between the white, older, male upper management and the work force who is mostly young millennials -Job is boring and you do not need a college degree -Perceived as a training ground and mill by the industry

      Pros

      Learn a great deal of information on commercial real estate markets. As a researcher, you learn more information about commercial real estate than the average broker does. Information is valuable and can allow almost anyone to transition into role as broker, developer or appraiser of commercial real estate.

      Cons

      The role can be viewed or treated as a call center. Researchers are often evaluated based on number of attempted dials which can be counterproductive.

      Pros

      Large multinational growing company with lots of opportunities for growth if you are in the right location. Very forward thinking and growth oriented company. Can get a good foundation of knowledge of the commercial real estate landscape in your market.

      Cons

      Not much room for growth or professional development if you are not in a major market with a head office. Poor contact with management, poor personal development plan. Not encouraged to step out of comfort zone and try new things. Very removed from office culture and environment.
