Pros

Lots of job openings since a bunch of people have left. For a while it was a good place to learn from more experienced employees but most of the good ones have left.

Cons

The CEO is concerned only with market domination, and his sense of humor fits right in with your standard corporatist late-night talk show hosts: dated, forced, and inappropriate for the workplace. There is no-one in his inner circle who is willing to speak up for the average Joe in his company. Middle managers, while often their hearts are in the right place, truly live up to their title because they are too impotent to stand up for what their hearts are telling them. Management is somehow simultaneously lethargic and aimless, like a maitre d on the Titanic who doesn't want to put any ice in your cocktail, no matter how many times you tell him it's getting warm, and no matter how many pieces you just saw break off onto the upper deck.

Pros

Decent benefits: health care, 401K, discount stock purchase program, some legal help. Workload is reasonable and PTO is pretty good, and they do allow accrual up to a cap (about 240 hrs I think). Managers are good with day to day, but don't always have employees back when it counts.

Cons

Zero WFH policy. Pay is average and sucks if you were bought by CoStar, they will not adjust your salary to market. It's demoralizing knowing a new employee working the same job as you is making 25-40% more than you. A LOT of people have left recently, so many better employment options out there. Our team management is ok except they can't do anything about the 2 issues above.

Pros

Good pay for Associate Software Engineers- started at $100k with $15k bonus. People I worked with personally were excellent and extremely helpful until management changed the structure and our team was ripped in thirds and no longer balanced. An opportunity to work on a lot of different websites and get to interact with and write code that will be seen internationally.

Cons

Management is greedy. There is no set training for engineers so you are kind of just thrown in the water. It was chill for the first 5 or 6 months but then there were switch ups and corporate games started being played (I.e. switching me off my main assignment for a whole month to do something else, then the day I was switched back and relearning everything, I was quizzed and the moment I messed up I was being told that “people above” may want me gone if I don’t produce”. It was a setup.)
