Pros

Mindful, tend to hire people who are self-aware and self-motivated. Can easily move between departments

Cons

High pressure, top management tends to be a boys club. For a company dominated by female employees, there is an obvious glass ceiling

Working with so many talented, caring, and driven people is one of our favorite parts of coming to the office every day. Pros

Decent pay for retail. Team bonuses. Clean environment. Great customers. I really can't think of anymore pros and what I have is pushing it.

Cons

I started at Coach (outlet) because I loved the brand. I wanted to share my love. I went in with a big understanding of the history of the brand and leathers and silhouettes. I was working the job for fun. Starting Black Friday, I was put on the register that I had never used before. I was told to figure it out myself and I got no headset to communicate in case I needed help. I had a 12 hour shift and spent the whole shift ringing with only 1 15 minute break. Meanwhile the one assistant manager was constantly on break. Every time I went to the back to replenish shopping bags and boxes, she was on break. After Black Friday I was continuously on register for hours at a time. Each hour the staff rotates and does different things around the store. I seemed to never get rotated. I could tell management was playing favorites. One day I was finally put on the floor. The one manager kept hovering over me and butting in when I was trying to talk to customers. I was trying my best to engage but it was tough because the bags were constantly moved and because I was on register, I never knew where anything was. My manager pulled me aside and told me I needed to learn to engage customers and that she was tired of talking to customers behind me because I wasn't giving them info about the products. Ok. I was constantly stuck on register for hours at a time. I never got a chance to get to know the layout of the store. Every customer I talked to would buy something. I got so fed up that day that I quit. I'm an adult, I wanted the job for fun. I wasn't working for a place that played favorites and I wasn't in support of management that would talk down to employees instead of giving them a chance. The dress code is strict and I spent most of my paychecks trying to buy clothes only to be told they weren't allowed. They told us no leggings but yet the manager wore leggings everyday. The discount is 65% off full ticket price. That is only 15% off the advertised price in store. Also the push to sell was ridiculous with no commission offered.

Pros

salary, benefits, employee discounts, support teams( IT, Facilities etc.)

Cons

"There are so many strong willed Life(r's)-employees who are running the depts and holding on to their dear JOBS." bamboozled! politics in a company of this size really makes it unfair for the support teams .
