Pros

Supportive Culture: Teammates, peers, and colleagues are always ready and willing to support one another, whether it’s on customer engagements, special projects, thought leadership initiatives, or community charitable events. Career Growth: Leadership is ready to invest in your future if you take a thoughtful approach. Hard work and results are often rewarded. My career path, from a director to Chief of Staff, is a testament to the growth opportunities here. Continuous Learning: There’s no shortage of opportunities to grow as a professional. Through good and bad, wins and losses, learning is a constant, making every experience valuable. Unique Culture: Coalfire’s people share a common desire to delight customers and take care of one another. We embrace our imperfections and see them as opportunities for improvement. Work-Life Balance: The flexibility to build my schedule around personal priorities, as long as I deliver results, allows me to balance work with taking care of myself and my family.

Cons

Self-Driven Growth: While leadership is supportive, career advancement often rests on the individual's shoulders. It requires a self-driven, proactive approach to make the most of the opportunities available. Challenges and Changes: The company has faced various challenges over the years (our founder and CEO died, COVID, market shifts). While we've always found a way to succeed together, navigating these changes can sometimes be difficult.

Remote work with decent benefits.

Cons

Salary increases and promotions have been pushed down for the past few years with no to low raises and invisible dangling carrots. While management increases billable hour requirements at the same time increasing revenue targets so bonus targets are not reachable.
