We continue to review our compensation program against the marketplace. Every business lives in the tension between fixed costs, leverage, and resiliency. If the first two are well managed, resiliency is high. Resiliency and retention are interrelated. We want to prove that our people are valued by paying competitively (retain during economic stability), while maximizing resiliency (retain during market upsets). Consulting is not for the faint of heart. We are client focused and are beholden to construction schedules and the owner's return on investment. But we don't do so to the exclusion of work-life balance. One of the benefits of having a deep bench of talent, is that we have pinch hitters that can come into the game and give you a break.
