Pros

You can sit idle for months and get salary. You can go on leave (without even applying) any day anytime if you are not reporting to your manager or if he does not care.

Cons

You can be expected to work for 20 hrs a day if by chance you get into a project. You can be asked to quit any day because they don't have projects. Recession is not a reason.

Cons

No policies, managers not ready to take any responsibility, high level of politics, hard work never pays off, your success depends on your calibre of how close you are with the manager.You loose your dignity as an employee.
